About
I am a Research Scientist at Subtle Medical and a former Research Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell My research focuses on foundation models, multimodality models, contrast-enhanced MRI, MRI informatics, CT reconstruction, vision-language models, and generative AI.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, under the supervision of Prof. Hengyong Yu . My work spans algorithm development, medical image reconstruction and synthesis, multi-center evaluation, and translation of AI methods into clinical imaging products.
I have (co-)first-authored publications in venues including IEEE TPAMI, ICML, IEEE TMI, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE JBHI, Physics in Medicine & Biology, and MICCAI. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for Physics in Medicine & Biology and the Journal of X-Ray Science and Technology.
Research Interests
- Medical imaging foundation models and vision-language models
- Contrast-enhanced MRI, contrast-dose simulation, and MRI synthesis
- MRI informatics and sequence standardization

Technology Translation
MRI Sequence Standardization Platform
Led the development of a vision-language foundation model for automatic MRI sequence recognition, naming standardization, and unified organization across vendors, scanners, institutions, and protocols. The platform supports multi-center data harmonization, imaging data management, and scalable medical AI applications.
AiMIFY — AI-powered MRI Enhancement
Contributed to the development and productization of AiMIFY, which uses deep learning to improve lesion conspicuity and contrast enhancement without increasing contrast-agent dose or altering the clinical workflow. The technology has been deployed in clinical settings and is undergoing formal clinical trials.
